All new interview with the Colts left sided winger Will Hyde...

What is your view about last season (2005/060?

I feel that at the begining of the season we got off to a good start. But then our form started to drop and we were losing more games, this shattered our confidence. But thankfully at the back end of the season we started to move back up the table thanks to a series of good results, but it's a shame that the season ended half way through our winning streak.

What is your favourite moment as a Colts player?

For me my favourite moment was scoring on my debut, even if it was a simple tap in, it meant a lot to me.

And what is your worst moment?

I'm ashamed to talk about it. But for the sake of the interview i'll tell you. It was that shot that hit the cross bar when I was only a metre away from the goal!

Why do you like playing for the Colts?

Because I am very friendly with a lot of the players and I think that we are quite a good team.

Finally what is your target for next season?

I would like to score about 7 goals and improve my game in general so I can achieve a higher target next year.

The exclusive interview with the Colts manager, what he really thinks…

What is your view about last season?

It was a formative season as we created a new team from boys who had attended many different primary schools. It was always going to be difficult as we played many teams who had already been playing 11-a-side together for at least a season. We had some good games and some not so good games and failed to play consistently.

What has been your best moment so far as a manager?

Winning the last game of the season against Horsham Tigers. This was because we played as a team with confidence for the first time in the season.

What has been your worst moment so far as a manager?

There have been several, but the 2 that stick out the most were losing our first game of last season 11-1 this made me realize how difficult the year was going to be. The other occasion was when we lost 3-2 to Copthorne having been 2-0 up at half time.

What do you like most about being a manager?

I like seeing the boys enjoying their football, and I like seeing them playing good football on a Saturday. This is even more pleasurable when they do something we have practiced in training.

What do you think the Colts can improve on next season?

We have a good squad of players who have all the basic skills needed to win the division. The main areas we need to concentrate our improvement on are helping each other play by talking more, by working really hard running up and down the pitch, by doing the simple things very well e.g.: good quality passing to feet.

And finally what are your aims for next season?

Clearly to win the division although this will be achieved one match at a time to continue to build a strong team spirit such that every player helps, encourages and plays for their team mates.
